Avoiding Stress On Your Wedding Day

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Mr perfect romantically proposes, you say yes! You gleefully tell family and friends, you proudly set the date, life is perfection... and then comes the wedding planning, the juggling of your money and time, having to plough through endless to do lists, rising above interfering friends and family and resisting the will to just 'give up' when your caterer casually cancels two weeks before the date.

Miraculously you kept on track, you kept your sanity and the day is set to be perfect! But what's that? The niggling anxiety that surely something will go wrong, something will be forgotten, broken - disaster will strike! Never fear, we have a few answers to the most common worries and problems a bride faces.

The NO-show -Will he be waiting for me at the alter? - Of course, relax, he was the one to ask you after all, even with those little not so subtle hints he still made the executive decision to ask you all by himself! Plus he hasn't headed for the hills yet- he has stuck around for the planning of the day itself when yes maybe once or twice bridezilla threw a tantrum or two. He's in for the long haul and cannot wait to make you his wife!

*We definitely recommend that you put you foot down and not let his best mate whisk the stags off too near the wedding, a hung-over groom or a groom in another country would be what we consider a match to a flame.

Your bridesmaids - your best friends, they are your support team, they are your rocks and you can count on them to take on any problems on your behalf, use them, keep them focused (and never more drunk than yourself).

* Give your most trusted bridesmaid an emergency kit to keep in their bag, a treasure trove of bits and pieces to combat any problems that arise; nail varnish to double combat chipped nails and ladders in stockings! Hairspray to keep your locks looking no less than model perfection, a little sewing kit to tackle any rips or tears, wipes to remove any stains, makeup for touch ups and perfume to keep you smelling fresh.

Good company - you have a great group of friends, family you cant choose, but hopefully they will be equally as fantastic, they are here to help you celebrate, so Surround yourself with them and avoid those who are likely to be negative, profit from all of the details that you put into place during your planning. Mingle, re-connect with relatives, enjoy being newly wed, laugh at the best mans speech, be your parents pride and joy, enjoy your meal, drink your bubbly, dance at your party and enjoy the simple fact that all of your hard work has paid off, the day was a success.

The after thoughts-

You did it, you planned a wedding, had a wedding and come out of the other side smiling, your wedding was a success, but now what will you do? You dedicated so much time into planning the thing you felt like it was your second job, well never fear its not all over just yet...you can focus on your new life as a Mrs, open all of those generous presents, write thank you cards, honeymoon, fill out name change forms, organise wedding albums... Oh will it never end?

Ken Copeland, a great author, speaker, televangelist and the founder of the Christian organization Kenneth Copeland Ministries was born at Lubbork, Texas on 6\'th December 1939. His conversion to Christianity took place in November 1962.

Before his conversion to Christianity, Ken Copeland was a recording artist of partial Native American decent. His performances like his works of Billboard appeared in the top 40 hits. His work \"Pledge of Love\" made a place in the top 40\'s on Apr 20, 1957 and continued there for about eight weeks. A 12th rank was the highest level it could reach.

After conversion he worked hard on Christian Ministry works. He was the chauffeur for Oral Roberts in the 1960s. Later he did get an enrollment at Oral Roberts University which is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ken Copeland was the main member of the Oral Roberts University Boards of Regents till 2008 at Oral Roberts University. The main reason for this new board was a case of October 2007 which blamed the University for being involved in wrong financial and political acts. Ken Copeland\'s eldest daughter was Terri. Terri had got married to George Pearson who had been chairman of the board of Oral Toberts University till 2008.

The Kenneth Copeland Ministries created by Ken Copeland came up during 1970\'s. His work \"Believer\'s Voice of Victory\" was released and came on television in 1979. Newark and Texas was the main headquarters of his ministries. The ministries even had international sites at Australia, Africa, Canada, United Kingdom and Ukraine. These ministries were active in about 23 countries on prison inmate.

Some people had criticized the teachings of Ken Copeland on different issues. In \"Word Faith Movement\" he said that claim on faith healing and Bible believers will get returns for their giving ( Refer : Genesis 26:12, Mark 4:20, Mark 10:29-30, Luke 6:38, II Corinthians 9:6-12 and Galatians 3:13-14 of the Bible). This work of Ken was widely criticized.

Ken Copeland taught us to praise God all the time be it the morning, noon or night. He said that those who have not yet praised god in their lifetime should start praising him. We have to praise him for the freedom, for healing and for Calvary. On basis of Lord Jesus being the first person who mentioned in the phrase \"Born Again\" everyone asked Ken Copeland the exact meaning of that phrase.

Kenneth Copeland Ministries had established an Airport in Texas and it is known as the Kenneth Copeland Airport. Ken has written some famous books like: You are healed, A ceremony of marriage, Prayer: Your foundation for success, Becoming subject to authority of Jesus, How to discipline your flesh and the wake-up call. These books and other online publications can be browsed and bought on the net by which we can view and understand the ideas given by Ken Copeland.

Kenneth Copeland Ministries enable you to learn more about the Words of God and put meaning into your life by making you spiritually fulfilled. You will know more about it if you become one of its partners.

Where Do You Find Gay Spirituality?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

What exactly do we mean when we talk about gay spirituality? Since many of us grew up in religious organizations that told us we were abominations and unworthy sinners there are plenty of people within the GLBT community that aren\'t interested in religion. Others want some validation from the church and thus look for meaning in religion. If you take your spiritual journey, you\'ll find that the process can definitely be satisfying.

Many of us began our own form of gay spirituality when we were young. Growing up in our churches we heard things, realized things, and felt like an outsider standing within the ring of fire.

It is not surprising that a great number of individuals chose to go from their churches directly into movements and social causes. Small groups have formed that help to deal with the whiplash many were left with.

There are all kinds of ways that one may try to find spiritual answers. When gay spirituality was first even mentioned, there was no such thing as an open and affirming church. Instead, there were a few select individuals who saw the plight of our spiritual journey and went out of their way to reach out to the community. Some turn toward that effort and others still turn away, looking for validation in the eyes of their childhood church.

It can be a painful road if you come from a religious background. You may have been subjected to prayer sessions that were supposed to \"cure\" you or religious studies that openly humiliated you. Thus, in today\'s GLBT community there are many who find spirituality solely within themselves.

Sometimes your spiritual answers are all around you. You might find that the miracle of your partner or the miracle of having a family together is enough of an answer. You may be wandering the world and simply gathering bits of a spiritual journey. You don\'t have to receive your gay spirituality badge from an actual religious figure if you don\'t want to. Your journey is very much within your own control and you have many choices. You can change your options whenever you please as well, making your choices ever more abundant.

Gay spirituality isn\'t just about acceptance. It is about a sense of self and in some cases a sense of dignity. There are plenty of cast outs that would love to come full circle, hear their childhood church admit fault for treatment of their gay membership, and feel righted after being mistreated. Yet we can only take that idea so far. It\'s about understanding and then reconciling that the religious teachings that we experienced were created by people. The actual spiritual journeys are felt internally and can\'t be taught. It is a noticeable and distinct feeling.

In today\'s world your spiritual existence comes from within. You can join churches and other religious organizations that are accepting and welcoming. But until you find that gay spirit is more about finding that spark within you, the journey can become too hard. Learning to take the journey from within makes it all worthwhile.
